500mm for the win

A visit to Cornwall is like playing the fruit machine, most of the time you are just pumping coins in but sometimes you hit the jackpot. It had been overcast and raining all day, but the clouds were thinning and we could see the sun breaking through.

A trip to Praa Sands to see the sea!

Wow. Just a splash of light before the sun slipped behind the hill, 4-6 foot surf, a handful of winter-hard surfers, and I’ve got a 500mm lens in the back of the car.

Mum and Dad waited patiently for their tea while I snapped a few shots of the locals and got Hannah to run back and grab me a wide-angle for the sunset.

But seriously that sunset ….
